For the tenth year in a row, Louis Vuitton has been ranked the world’s most valuable luxury brand in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list. Followed by other renowned fashion houses like Hermès and Gucci, Louis Vuitton has kept the top spot of this list ever since it was launched, 10 years ago.
The values of the companies which appear in this list are determined using financial data and brand equity measures taken from over three million customers. This is how Louis Vuitton was valued in 2015 at $27.4 billion, a sixth percent increase from the previous year, while Hermès was valued at $18.9 billion and Gucci came in the list at $13.8 billion.
Most brands have been a slight decrease in value in 2015 due to less spending in Chinese and Russian markets, but Louis Vuitton seems to be going better than ever. The next brands in the top 10 were Chanel, Rolex, Cartier, Prada, Burberry, Michael Kors and Tiffany, with Chanel being the only other brand that has seen a rise in value this year, together with LV.
So this list basically tells us which are still the world’s most popular fashion brands.
