I’ll be honest with you girls, this is just the first I’ve heard of British handbag label Bottletop and I couldn’t be more impressed. From a quick Google Search, I found out that Bottletop was founded just a couple of years ago in 2002 by Cameron Saul and his father Roger, who was also the founder of Mulberry. Under the company name, The Bottletop Foundation, Bottletop handbags are made using recycled bottle tops from Africa, which are then sent to Europe to be lined with leather. Wow!
The label creates accessories and other fashionable women’s’ products from sustainable material and it looks amazing. What more could an environmentally conscious girl ask for? And there’s more. Through this design, Bottletop creates local employment and raises funds for educational projects in Africa. What an awesome initiative. Working with local artists and artisans for their designs, right now Bottletop is planning to make a name for itself with a gorgeous campaign, featuring the uber sweet Victoria’s Secret angel Lais Ribeiro.
If you don’t know Lais Ribeiro, on top of being a Victoria’s Secret angel, a mom, (kudos for still looking amazing) and appearing in numerous fashion shows for designers like Balmain and La Perla, she’s graced the covers of Vogue, GQ, Elle and many, many more magazines This Brazilian cutie would look amazing no matter what she’s promoting, but these chic Bottletop handbags seem to complement her outfits and her curves beautifully. The images have been captured by Jerome Duran somewhere in New York, showing Lais Ribeiro going from elegant to sporty while rocking Bottletop handbags. Would you purchase one?
